I am just back from a whirlwind road trip that included some great music making.  It started with Dennis Tufano in Las Vegas at the Cosmopolitan Hotel.  Dennis was his usual talented and classy self, and Mike Acosta did his usual brilliant job leading the band.  I then went to the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music to do a Drum Masterclass.  It was great to meet with young, motivated Musicians and share music and information.  Thank you to Remo, Zildjian and Yamaha for all the support you gave me for this event and for all you do all year long.

Dr Scott Belck had his CD release party for “At The Cannibal’s Prayer Breakfast” at the legendary Blue Whisp Jazz Club in Cincinnati Ohio.  We performed most of the CD compositions to a very packed club, and it was fun to revisit the music that I recorded with Scott.  I am very proud of how the CD turned out, and how it sounded live as well.

So far, 2011 has really been amazing…..and it is just getting started!
